Pros
Mgmt listens to feedback from employees and makes visible changes to operations and policies based on employee engagement surveys and break out groups in town hall meetings, etc. Wages market increases and working from home have fabricated them VERY competitive within the industry. LOTS of growth potential in a Fortune 50 company that is less than forty years old. The sky is the limit for "go-getter" types.
Cons
Was a bit dull to meet need for work from abode permanence when marketplace competitors made the move sooner, but somewhen defenseless up. Multiple acquisitions recently and a CEO modify for first time in 25 years can e'er mean some growing pains. Systems and processes are yet communicable upwardly to the more established companies; lots of opportunities to remove redundancies, etc.

Former Employee, more than 5 years
Pros
I loved the work and for 6 years was happy with what I did. I knew I made a difference and did my job well. Not many has the same skill fix I did and in that location was e'er piece of work to do.
Cons
ane. It's an old white boys club. I say that as a white individual. It sucks that'south how MFN rolls. They say they value multifariousness but they don't. They will take a token diverse person in an exec role but they're there to be a face, non make any changes or impact. 2. They pay really well but that hurts when you leave. 3. They layoff the skillful people and go on the undereducated white males. Why? Run across #i above. iv. They don't want you lot if you lot are female and over xl. Think I'm lying? See the number of females twoscore+ who got hit in the January "reorganization." v. HR is a joke. Talent acquisition couldn't discover their rear ends with both hands and a map. So many excuses on why they didn't exercise their jobs. half dozen. MFN said the HealthNet employees needed to learn the Centene style and the Centene way would prevail. He lied. 7. They never entertained the thought of working from home. At all. Even a 25% WFH pick would cut costs and improve morale.

Pros
The people, the resource, and the culture. The people in my org are awesome, and we all work to button the company's security in the correct direction. Nearly everyone is incredibly technical, fifty-fifty amongst management. There are plenty financial resource in gild to tool our team with the technology we demand to succeed. Nobody shies away from a challenge, and everyone has a adequately shared vision for the hereafter and what we all need to do to go there.
Cons
Centene isn't a _super_ well-known company, and and then there isn't exactly a ton of talent flocking to join up. While nosotros take financial resource for the tools we need, we don't have the people to homo all of them besides as we should. Though, maybe y'all can fix that! The other con is that... it'southward a big company, and and then there is a lot of cherry record on actually getting changes through. Everyone is generally on board with the changes, information technology merely has to be run by legal, architecture, take chances, concern continuity, and their brother before it can exist made a reality. Which is understandable, we don't desire to bring everything to a screeching halt... information technology just can be frustrating at times.

Pros
Amidst the extremely top-heavy leadership construction there are some truly positive leadership influences who do prioritize your evolution and abet for yous (although many accept jumped ship in the by couple years). In general, information technology is a highly talented workforce. Compensation is pretty bonny, although bonuses and merit increases are mediocre for non-leadership roles. Tuition reimbursement is a plus. Lots of professional development and growth opportunity.
Cons
Ridiculously high burnout culture with little to no consideration for work-life balance and constant turnover at all levels of the arrangement. Frequent acquisitions lead to occasional concerns around job security. Corporate support for state markets and health plans leaves ALOT to be desired. Priorities are constantly shifting and yous can wait last infinitesimal deadlines and micromanagement. Work is extremely specialized and industry-specific, then if health insurance isn't your matter, don't bother. Master responsibility is to the shareholders, not the members.

Pros
The people I supervised were wonderful
Cons
Leadership was the worst. Unclear roadmaps, insane expectations of hours, no accountability for IT section mistakes, and naught integrity.

Pros
Outstanding staff to go in hand with visitor mission.
Cons
Dangling carrots and moving performance targets, Don't autumn for the "after year ane y'all will receive ii% bonus" then "after two years you volition receive a four% bonus" then "after iii years y'all will receive a 6% bonus. Information technology is deceptive to say the least as they accept so many artistic ways and justifications to keep that from happening. I too dear that they sell "stretch assignments" under the guise of professional development when it actually means they volition stretch the piece of work they await from you lot from 45 hours a week to 50. Contempo policy changes also take led to yearly reviews that once exceeded expectations to just meeting expectations. This also ties into yearly percentage increment declines. I am not sure if this artistic deception is actually a pro for those that like short selling truth. Overall the pay is okay and the benefits used to be great but now are average at all-time, especially ironic when you think that this is a health care visitor.

Pros
Decent benefits, some skilful people,
Cons
Racism and bigotry run rampant. Lots of men but meetings or slap-up sessions if you are the only adult female. Only people who are abusive narcissists become ahead. Permit Sr leaders to base decisions on whims not supported in Data. Senior leaders will push for "psychological rubber" with teams just and so mock, dismiss and and then penalize people for identifying risks or issues they don't want to deal with, especially if it might make them wait bad. Hour is a Russian roulette of horrible inexperienced reps that will practise things similar refuse to have action on attempts to distribute a cult recruitment media but and so tell the person distributing information technology who reported them. Allow leaders to not have exit surveys sent when people get out.
